Lutz Hübner
VILLA EUROPE
Eleven people are planning to invest money in a luxury
house with seven residential units. They want to create
their own living environment, a social and residential
context for their future.
They are of different ages, wealth, experience, outlook, but they are determined to adapt in the name of a common goal. Expectedly, different views on architectural aesthetics and living standards emerge. Many surprising and unexpected things happen. Information, truth and prejudice come to light that completely skew the course of events.
Lutz Hübner, born in Heilbronn in 1964, is one of the most often produced German playwrights. He is a philosopher, sociologist, literary theorist, linguist and actor by training. Initially ignored by many critics, in recent years the professional public has completely reversed its position and his mildly sarcastic depictions of the pathologies of contemporary European society are really successful. Some analysts even compare him to Molière.
