In 2008 Litera published a collection of short stories, Out of my skin by Peter Rezman. Now the author has prepared a multi-layered full-length dramatisation of the book. This monodrama tells a story of seven miners who have ended up in a mine due to circumstances beyond their control. The protagonists are 'leaving' the mine, whether they want to or not, and they want to be rid of the fatality of time and place they live in.

The story takes place in the late 80's but is still painfully up to date because it touches the current crisis. It deals with the problems of global energy policies, human race's hunger for the fruits of the earth and catastrophic consequences of those actions. The melodrama looks at the role of each individual in the system, and the futile rebellion against greed and apocalypse of this world.

Collection Out of my skin was awarded the Fabula 2009 prize.
