Last spring, when stock market speculators were still making profits, when bankers offered loans, and before there was a sign of any kind of recession, Matjaž Zupančič had already written a text of the powerful crescendo of Mocart, the capital virtuoso. In a whirlwind of product placement, financial constructions, and marketing strategies Mocart and his friend Tibor strive for profits, each in their own way. Mocart is a playful gambler and Tibor a man of traditional methods. Despite some sexual craving due to a monotonous sexual symphony of their bedrooms their wives constantly support them. Together with their wives, the two friends join ranks and orchestrate a monumental financial endeavour. The quartet’s graceful dance is interrupted by idealistic, austere and honest Vesna. Mocart is not satisfied with her marketing skills and her perception of the world, and he fires her. Vulnerable Vesna, who is torn between ideals and disgust, ends up in the dustbin of the society. One of the key investors and future business partner, Strelkov, lusts Vesna. Mocart knows that he will be in trouble if he loses Strelkov, so he gives Vesna a second chance. If Vesna says yes, Mocart will have Strelkov for lunch, but if she refuses, Mocart will be the main course.  Will the voice crying in the wilderness be heard through this polyphony of interests, thirst for power and struggle for survival?

The distinguished dramatist, director and professor at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television created his new play especially for Mestno gledališče ljubljansko. The portrayal of a void and preposterous segment of modern society is written in a style full of dynamic comical turns and sharp accentuated contents as the play develops.
